Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer 

Job Type: 3 month contract to potential FTE 
Location: Remote, anywhere in the US

As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. You will leverage your extensive experience in infrastructure as code, network architecture, security, and performance optimization to deliver high-quality cloud services. Your role will be critical in ensuring our cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure as Code: Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Network Architecture: Design and implement Azure network components, including VNets, VWAN, and Private Links.
• Edge Protection: Deploy and manage edge protection services like Application Gateway, Front Door, and Traffic Manager.
• Logging and Monitoring: Implement comprehensive logging and monitoring solutions for end-to-end visibility.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• API Management: Implement and manage API management solutions.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize infrastructure performance to meet business requirements.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Strong expertise in Azure network stack (VNet, VWAN, Private Link)
• Proven experience with edge protection solutions (Application Gateway, Front Door, Traffic Manager)
• Proficiency in implementing end-to-end logging and monitoring
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Experience with Azure API Management
• Strong skills in infrastructure performance tuning
• Experience with Azure policies, Sentinel, and Defender for Cloud is a plus
• Knowledge of Identity and RBAC management using Entra ID is a plus
• Experience in Azure DevOps organization governance is a plus
• Hands-on experience with migrating on-prem infrastructure to Azure is a plus
• Application performance tuning skills are a plus
• Database performance tuning experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
