Description : Quility is seeking a Technical Product Owner with expertise in data development and product management. This role involves prioritizing data product features, managing the backlog, aligning them with business goals, developing detailed roadmaps and requirements, and defining user stories with acceptance criteria. The ideal candidate will be the key interface between engineering, business requirement analysts, and stakeholders, utilizing their technical knowledge to bridge product vision with technical execution. They will have experience with real-time data interfacing (Confluent Kafka, APIM APIs), ETL/ELT pipeline development (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Pentaho), and managing an enterprise data warehouse in Snowflake. This role is crucial for integrating data to support business decisions and requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic product management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for centralized databases, ensuring robust, real-time data exchange between applications through efficient event management.
  • Lead the strategy and execution for developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing data flow and integration across the organization.
  • Oversee the enterprise data warehouse architecture in Snowflake, ensuring it supports business requirements by integrating data from diverse sources, including OLTP systems and application databases.
  • Develop comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and manage the product backlog to prioritize features effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure technical projects are delivered efficiently and align with business goals.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing to validate product features and functionality before release.
  • Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into understandable business terms.
  • Promote agile methodologies and scrum practices within the team, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring alignment with agile best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data-related development roles, with a strong background in database management, data integration, and warehousing solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience working in the agile framework as a product manager, product Owner or engineering manager, or similar role
  • Expertise with databases & SQL, data streaming services like Confluent Kafka or similar APIs, data integration services like Databricks, and Azure Data Factory, and data warehouse solutions like Snowflake, and Jira.
  • Proven ability to craft detailed user stories, manage product backlogs, and define epics that align with business objectives.
  • Experience leading User Acceptance Testing and working closely with development teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies and working with scrum teams is essential.
  • Desired Skills
  • Certification in Agile Product Ownership or Scrum Master.
  • Experience in data analytics and insights generation.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, preferably Azure.
