Team Lead Strategy (all genders)

The Strategy Team is responsible for the overall strategic development of tonies®. This includes identifying strategic areas of action based on analyses of the external market and competitive environment and internal performance, defining and continuously developing our strategic roadmap, and ensuring the implementation of our strategic priorities in close collaboration with top management and their teams.  

As the Team Lead Strategy, you will lead the Strategy Team, act as a sparring partner for your team, and support your team members in their development. You will report to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and maintain close communication with top management. • Strategic Areas of Action: You identify strategic areas of action based on relevant analyses of our market and competitive environment and our business development, and ensure their implementation.

• Strategy Development and Implementation: You are responsible for designing the strategy development process, continuously developing and implementing our strategic roadmap, and tracking success.

• Strategic Projects: You lead important strategic projects with company-wide relevance and cross-functional project teams.

• Business Perspectives: You Identify and evaluate new business potentials, including creating well-founded business cases.

• Team Leadership: You lead the Strategy Team and are responsible for its development.  

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in relevant positions, including team leadership experience, ideally in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or a fast-growing start-up/scale-up.

• You have experience in managing complex strategic projects and familiarity with the consumer goods, retail, and/or e-commerce industries.

• You possess strong leadership and motivational skills, problem-solving competence, assertiveness, and analytical skills.

• You are experienced in managing complex stakeholder groups, including senior management. You always keep the big picture in mind and are proactive and effective in change management.

• You have excellent communication skills in German and English and enjoy working in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams.

• You are proficient in common MS Office programs (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with Tableau is a plus.

• You are prepared to be on-site at our Düsseldorf office 2–3 times a week to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
