Job description

🏆 What’s the Opportunity?

We are looking for a driven and tech-savvy Product Operations Manager to join our Product team's effort to deliver best-in-class user experiences to our customers and partners in the air cargo industry.

This is a unique, entrepreneurial opportunity to be driving the digitalization of air freight and logistics in a fast-growing Series B company backed by leading Venture Capital firms including Index and Bessemer.

We foster a positive, dynamic, hard-working and feedback-heavy culture, with a strong dose of playfulness. Join us now and transform the way airlines sell cargo!

🌍 You can work from (almost) anywhere in Europe and South Africa. We are a remote company, but regularly meet in person, too. As a German company originally, we can support with visa processes only in Germany.

🎬 A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

As part of the product organization, the product offering team is responsible for integrating with airline partners and developing airline products that drive value for the platform and our airline partners.

In your role as Product Operations Manager, you work as part of the product team to ensure that the offering on cargo.one is always competitive, relevant and bookable. That means that our partner airline and forwarder integrations and applications are running smoothly and get the operational support and data insight they require. You will work closely with our Airline and Forwarder partners to optimize performance and execute on operational iterations, always striving for operational excellence and generating value for our customers and partners. To accomplish this, you are part of a cross-functional effort and work hand-in-hand with our Engineering, Partnerships, Business Intelligence and Support teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • Run technical integration projects of new Airline partners and Enterprise Forwarder customers from solution design to launch.

  • Enable the cargo.one expansion strategy by supporting our market launches and making our supply globally accessible to freight forwarders.

  • Highlight feature gaps with our airline partners and drive adoption projects in order to maximize the offering potential on cargo.one.

  • Simplify and automate key monitoring and investigation processes to enable our internal teams and Airline partner to monitor performance efficiently.

  • Specify and implement tooling to improve our internal operations and performance monitoring.

  • Actively communicate within the organization making sure all the technical and business stakeholders are aligned in our ongoing projects.

🕵 We are looking for individuals with:
  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting, product operations, operations or data role running complex projects with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.

  • A strong growth mindset. You are biased to action, resilient and a self-starter who is excited about tackling new challenges and always keeps the user in mind.

  • Tech-savviness: You are not one to shy away when it gets technical. You enjoy learning new tools and enjoy writing your own queries and scripts to get the job done.

  • A good listener and consensus builder with the ability to make hard decisions when required.

  • A data-driven approach to decision making wherever possible.

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills with fluency in English (Bonus points for love of emojis 😎). You’re a great communicator and easily build relationships cross-functionally across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Embraces uncertainty and displays a high level of adaptability.

  • Is willing to learn and open to accepting feedback, generously giving their own in return.

❤️ We think you will love working here if:
  • You value building great relationships and trust with your team and managers.

  • You love experimenting with new ideas and get super excited when you find an opportunity for process improvement.

  • You see working remotely successfully as a pioneering challenge which is constantly evolving.

  • In everything you do, you take ownership and get a kick out of exceeding expectations.

  • When faced with the choice, you’d rather opt for the ambitious to ensure you grow, than take the easy option.

  • You see the value of giving and receiving feedback and incorporate this into everything you do.

  • You are not afraid to voice your opinions and like using data to back them up.

🤔 What is so exciting about working in the air cargo industry?
