Head of Tissue Technology (m/w/d)

Location: Near any site of Wepa in Europe

Your Tasks

  • You possess expertise in essential processes for tissue making, including stock preparation, paper making with chemistry, water handling, and energy, with additional knowledge in converting and warehousing technology
  • You manage and develop a team of experts across various technologies
  • You monitor technological developments and conduct market surveys to analyze key suppliers
  • You conduct internal and external benchmarking to implement the best available technologies
  • You collaborate with the paper making and converting managers' community of Wepa
  • You provide guidance on technology selection and key suppliers, basing decisions on performance, reliability, investment cost, and cost in use
  • You develop the technology strategy and roadmap for the group
  • You support the group in building mid-term asset plans for each mill
  • You work with project managers through the Capex Excellence program to determine the best technological solutions for each project
  • You support marketing strategies and supply chain demands, ensuring alignment with the interests and targets of the BU Consumer/Professional

Your Profile

  • Personality: Leadership mentality, excellent communication skills, determined to make calculated decisions, affinity for technology, hands-on mentality, curious mindset
  • Working: Independent, team-oriented and structured work with focus that is detail-oriented
  • experience and Know-how: +10 years of experience in the tissue industry, experience in project management, leadership experience in a Matrix organisation
  • Qualification: Master's degree in Engineering - Paper, Process, Chemical or Energy,
  • Languages: Fluent in English, knowledge of German is desirable
  • Travel: Willingness to travel on a base of 2-3 trips per month
