Job Purpose/Overview
This role will serve as the administrator/developer for the MVH ServiceNow HR PRO module. When developing and configuring the platform they should use good coding practices, accounting for as many exception cases as practical and ensuring reliable, durable code. As an administrator, this role will need to have a wide understanding of the platform, all technical components that are in use, and they should have a strong understanding of configuring the system in order achieve functionality while maintaining good security and change management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Design, develop, test and debug solutions on MVH’s ServiceNow HR PRO platform; document and communicate technical aspects of work performed.
Develop solutions using ServiceNow’s out-of-the-box functionality whenever possible; develop custom solutions as needed by leveraging web services, 3rd party integrations and internal data sources.
Perform security administration.
Develop enhancements and bug fixes within the HR PRO Service Management modules.
Manage the ServiceNow production and dev/test environments.
Provide production support for to the ServiceNow platform as needed; escalate to ServiceNow customer support when appropriate.
Participate and follow production change managed processes.
Maintain technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in ServiceNow Developer Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars, etc.
Context and Scope
Partner closely with MVH business unit stakeholders, People Solutions, BU Support & Continuous Improvement, vendors, and various business experts to execute system implementation, projects, enhancements, and support. Focus is ServiceNow HR PRO and related systems/functionality, driving a seamless and modernized associate/user experience for HR Service Delivery and Systems Support (e.g., case management, chat, phone calls, etc.)
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Type of Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
Field of Study: Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
Certifications: ServiceNow certifications preferred
Years of Experience: 5+
Requirements:
Design, implementation, and support of Cloud systems; preferably with ServiceNow SaaS and ServiceNow integrations tools.
Experience administering ServiceNow environments and experience in scripting and custom/scoped applications in ServiceNow
Advanced knowledge and skills associated with programming design, modification, and implementation.
Advanced knowledge and skills associated with programming design, modification, and implementation.
Experience in incident response and digital forensics, including data collection, examination, and analysis. As it applies to enterprise service and case management platforms and toolsets (ServiceNow, Active Directory, Kanbanize, 8X8, etc.) and the integrations between them.
Strong computer skills and ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and maintain confidentiality internally and externally with HR data.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
Preferred technical support experience with HCM systems/modules (e.g., benefits, Core HR, Compensation, Recruiting, etc.).
Preferred health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.).
Preferred experience with ServiceNow, and Agile project methodology (Kanban).
Preferred ability to clearly translate technical jargon to non-technical audiences, and vice-versa.
