About the Company
Forge Recruitment is currently partnered with our client, a Personal Injury boutique firm located in Toronto, in the search of an Associate to join their Personal Injury Practice Group.

Responsibilities
  • Draft Mediation Memoranda, Pre-Trial Memoranda, and Case Conference Summaries;
  • Draft court documents including motion materials, factums, and pleadings;
  • Prepare file review memos and settlement proposals;
  • Attend motions and trial scheduling court hearings;
  • Attend examinations for discoveries and case conferences;
  • Participate in trial preparation;
  • Participate in regular file reviews to effectively plan and manage each case;
  • Provide research to lawyers;
  • Conduct witness interviews;
  • Conduct new client interviews; and
  • Prepare clients for Examination Under Oath, Medical Examinations, Discoveries, and Case Conferences
Qualifications
  • Member in good standing with LSO;
  • Solid knowledge and interest in personal injury law;
  • Able to provide exceptional client service; excellent people and communication skills to build good working relationships with clients;
  • Able to prioritize effectively while paying attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic working environment;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting;
  • Srategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability;
  • Superior attention to detail and organization;
  • Ability to independently research and analyze applicable law and matters;
  • Persuasive writer with ability to evaluate and assess issues; and
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, and accountability.
