Position : Senior Director, West Accounts Team, Partner Accounts

Location : Remote, West Coast

Position SummaryThis position is responsible for overseeing partner renewal, expansion, and capacity building activities that drive customer acquisition, retention, and growth; including working with and managing a team of professionals to develop and implement partner-focused strategies and programs. This position ensures the success of the Partner Accounts team, which ultimately ensures the overall financial vitality of NWEA. The Sr. Director reports to a VP of Partner Accounts and assumes responsibility for managing the performance of their Partner Accounts team members.

Responsibilities - In collaboration with the Partner Accounts Leadership, develop team policies, strategies, programs, and short and long-term objectives; define priorities; translate objectives and ideas into clear and practical plans; determine effective allocation of resources; and establish measures to objectively monitor and assess the success of the Partner Relations team - Lead the creation of a regional strategy that is aligned with our annual goals & critical success factors; and is achievable, measurable, and coordinated with Marketing and Product Development - Lead the team of existing and future Partner Account Managers relative to the culture, mission and vision of NWEA, product training, enrollment, capacity building, and expansion process training, and personal mentoring for professional and skills development - Generate revenue by assuming specific personal responsibility to increase capacity, and expand licenses in states for which the Director is both individually and collectively responsible - Implement and ensure partner information and activity tracking; ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of partner data; and prepare summaries and updates of enrollment, capacity building, and license expansion activities - Establish and monitor performance goals and targets; provide regular feedback and assist staff in making adjustments as needed - Represent NWEA with integrity, maintain industry credibility, establish and strengthen relationships through presenting to various audiences, and attendance at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events - Work with other NWEA teams to provide excellent partner care to districts from first contact through advanced implementation of our assessment systems. Ensure retention of current partners, evaluate service levels, identify and resolve problems, and escalate problems as needed. - Create, update, manage, and approve expenses for the Regional Partner Accounts budget - Collaborate with (Marketing, Communications, Finance and Product Development) teams to develop new products, strategies, or programs that add value to NWEA and our partners - Stay abreast of market trends and competition and adjust retention strategies accordingly - Assist in conversations with professional associations, state departments of education, county service centers, and other organizations to increase knowledge and awareness of our work as requested - Understand school district buying practices, funding sources, and decision makers while understanding school and district product and service needs - Travel is required at least 50% of the time

Skills And Abilities - Strong leadership and change management skills - Strong people management skills; ability to effectively supervise, guide, influence and mentor the team - Ability to represent NWEA accurately and with integrity - Ability to bring credibility and influence to conversations with a wide variety of audiences - Strong presentation skills - Exceptional skills in partnering with clients and staff and in developing and maintaining long term, supportive relationships - Accurate forecasting and team pipeline management - Identify and mitigate risks - Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer and the current CRM tool - Must be able to perform the physical and intellectual requirements of the role, with or without accommodation

Education And Experience - Bachelor’s degree required - Minimum five years’ experience leading a team that emphasized a consultative approach; management experience in a mission-driven, fast-growing professional environment preferred - Demonstrated success in developing strategies, meeting targets, and growing a goal oriented team - Experience selling to school districts preferred - Experience in school districts or organizations supporting educational entities experience preferred - Understanding of education industry and assessment methods desired - Familiarity with NWEA measures and services desired
