Description

 

PCG is looking for an EpicCare Phoenix specialist who specializes in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the system. The primary responsibilities of this job may include: 

  • The Epicare Specialist wil be working with healthcare organizations to customize the EpicCare Phoenix system to meet their specific needs. This may involve configuring clinical workflows, setting up security permissions, and configuring interfaces with other systems. 
  • Monitoring and maintaining the performance and availability of the EpicCare Phoenix system, troubleshooting issues, and performing upgrades and patches as necessary. 
  • Providing training and support to end-users, including physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff, to ensure they can effectively use the system to document patient care and access patient data. 
  • Collaborating with other members of the healthcare IT team, such as network engineers and database administrators, to ensure that the EpicCare Phoenix system integrates seamlessly with other systems in the organization. This may also involve managing projects related to the implementation and configuration of the system. 
  • Ensuring that the EpicCare Phoenix system meets all regulatory requirements, such as those set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and that data is accurate and secure. 


Requirements

 Qualifications: 

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.  
  • Epic certification: Epic Systems Certification Preferred
  • Healthcare experience: Experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or clinic, may be preferred. This can demonstrate an understanding of clinical workflows and the ability to work effectively with clinicians. 
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with programming languages, such as SQL or Java, may be required. Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, such as EHRs, may also be preferred. 
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role, as it involves working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Project management skills: Experience in project management may be preferred, as this role may involve managing projects related to the implementation and configuration of EpicCare Phoenix. 
  • Attention to detail: This role requires a high level of attention to detail, as accuracy and data integrity are critical in healthcare IT.
