Job description

Role: React/Node/AWS Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months
Description:
Hiring 3x engineers with an expertise Node.js, Typescript, and AWS.
Typescript - they will be using Typescript heavily, as it will be the primary language for building
their backend services. For this project, there is no UI or front end work – just event processing and
API layer.
AWS – prefer Kubernetes and light containerized applications. Lambda, dynamoDB.
Testing – TDD; don't have resources or budget for dedicated testers. Project lends itself to TDD or
BDD - event processing. Contributor friendly.
Open source project mindset.
All backend work – have events that come off Safeco network. Format and process those events and
new generic data structure and API – completely from scratch….exciting but added responsibility.
Need strategic thinking.
Nice to have – insurance industry but want enterprise background
Taking existing data model to this new data model.
Executing work – have not seen success solutions with design to last – great documentation and
tests. Built with best engineering practices. Ultimately role into more strategic stack.
