Performance Test Engineer (Remote)

 This position can be fully remote. 
 
Skills Required:
•    Must have 5+ years of expert level JMeter scripting experiences
•    Must have 5+ years of strong experiences with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk
•    Must have 7+ years of experience in performance engineering, capacity panning with in depth knowledge of identifying and debugging application/infrastructure performance problems across ecommerce and web applications 
•    Must have 7+ years of experience with Performance testing of .NET/J2EE applications
•    Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. JIRA), source control systems (e.g. GITT Bitbucket build management tools (e.g. Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins)
•    Experience with synthetic and performance testing technologies
•    Experienced in optimizing performance of client-side web technology
•    Experienced in optimizing server-side technologies
•    Experienced in optimizing performance of mobile applications 
•    Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
•    Experience with DevOps or similar productions tools for issue tracking and bug resolution
•    Working knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Server and queries
•    Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering or other code quality methodologies 
•    Ability to confirm to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
•    Strong self-initiative with the ability to identify areas of improvement with little direction
•    Attention to detail with the ability to produce reliable, effective solutions
•    Excellent communication skills are crucial since this position will work with multiple cross-functional teams
•    Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related analytical field or equivalent experience, REQUIRED
 
Special Qualifications:
•    Preferred qualifications include:
•    3+ years of .Net development experience 
•    3+ years of web development
•    3+ years of experience in cloud hosting environments
•    Experience working on large eCommerce websites
•    Experience in running performance tests through CI/CD pipeline as part of the build process
•    Experience with Real User Monitoring (RUM) tools
•    Experience with caching strategies
•    Experience designing/developing/supporting large scale applications running in a multi-platform distributed environment
•    Experience with A/B testing
•    Experience in a SRE role
 
Job Description:
 
•    Drive page analysis efforts for the Publix.com sites and APIs
•    Functioning as a subject matter expert in performance improvement recommendations
•    Identify performance optimization opportunities
•    Prioritize optimization recommendations based on impact analysis
•    Provide reports detailing the effect of implemented optimizations
•    Integrate with feature development scrum teams to ensure optimizations are implemented according to priority 
•    Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues that could lead to performance degradation
•    Collaborate with the feature development, architecture, and operations/support teams to share training and best practices
•    Define KPIs for both web page and API performance
•    Implement reporting and trend analysis of KPIs and other relevant data
•    Communicate KPIs to feature teams and ensure solutions are adhering to defined standards and best practices
