This position is a member of the Information Services IS Operations team at Onibex and reports to the Technical Applications and Services Manager. Allied uses SAP to run its business, having implemented SAP ECC 6.0, encompassing the modules SD, MM, LE, FICO, Data Services, BW on HANA, BOBJ, SAP Portal, PI and PO/AEX.
The SAP Basis Administrator handles the SAP software installation, upgrades via Enhancement Packs, applying Support Packs, installation of add-on software components, SAP profile parameter changes, workload analysis, system error analysis and establishing standard Basis background jobs and system health checks and monitoring.
The SAP Basis Administrator will collaborate with IS and Business Leads to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces and develop solutions to satisfy the business requirements. Other responsibilities include working on various ongoing projects in the client environment to understand resource needs and plan for Basis resource utilization. This person also works with the various teams interfacing with Basis (SAP Security, Database, Operating System, Network, and Hardware) to evaluate the impact of how making changes in one area could impact the overall SAP landscape.
