Job Description

Capacity responsibilities: Interface with cross-functional organizations (Purchasing Commodity Buyers, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Finance, Product Development Program Management, and Engineering) and Supplier(s) in order to deliver capacity uplifts in accordance with business needs. Responsibilities will include vetting Supplier Capacity response and preparing for CPAT disposition. Once CPAT approved, requests for Kickoff will be handed off to commodity purchasing & Material Cost/Execution and development of support plans if needed. **

Responsibilities**

Buyer for Capacity Studies for FNA programs

  • Work with Capacity planning to plan GCP/MCPV studies to support vehicle uplifts and mix rate changes.
  • Coordinate & Lead vetting meetings to confirm funding requests from supply base
  • Consolidate funding response and report to Capacity Study status
  • Gain Disposition of funding requests with the CPAT team
  • Ensure that all the established Purchasing Procedures are followed

Qualifications

  • Global Business, Industrial Engineering or Logistics Bachelor's Degree
  • English proficiency
  • +2 years of experience in Production Buying environment, STA, or LEAN with specific knowledge of the current Production Purchasing sourcing and program management milestones. Commodity Purchasing and/or Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Professionally manage customer and supplier relations internal and external to the organization.
  • Understanding of detailed Cost Analysis including Tooling and Variable Cost Cross Commodity and Cross Program
  • Demonstrated effective cross-functional communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skill set
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance needed
  • User Level Knowledge of Lean Learning or Waste Elimination Tools recommended
