ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Candidates should possess a combination of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with specific abilities related to data management and software requirements.
Data Management
Maps (or consults) business processes to understands data inputs and outputs essential to perform business operations
Develops and maintains data schema: that defines the structure and organization of the team’s outlining how data is organized into tables, fields, relationships, and constraints.
Develops and maintains the data dictionary including a detailed catalog or repository of data elements, including their definitions, attributes, and metadata providing comprehensive information about each data element, such as its name, description, data type, length, format, and source.
Develop and maintain data governance standards and policies
Collaborates with technical team to implement data schema and data governance and policies
Responsible for data integrity, robustness, accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Software requirements
Understand the business needs and the role that software plays in its execution
Develop software requirement documents in alignment with business needs and priorities
Develop a system to manage software versions and feature sets in alignment with business needs and priorities
Develop and manage a process to manage software releases in adherence to software requirements
Establish and maintain traceability between software requirements and business objectives, ensuring that each requirement can be tracked to a business objective
Develop a process for handling changes to software requirements
Ensure that the software requirements are clear, complete and testable
Establish clear communication channels with development teams to convey requirements accurately and address questions and clarifications promptly
Establish feedback loop with stakeholders to gather input and provide feedback on software requirements
Technical Skills
Data Schema Design: Proficiency in designing and maintaining data schemas, including creating tables, defining fields, relationships, and constraints.
Data Dictionary Management: Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary with detailed data element descriptions, attributes, metadata, and source information.
Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance principles and the ability to establish and enforce data governance standards and policies.
Software Requirements: Experience in developing and managing software requirement documents, including versioning, traceability, and handling changes.
Data Management Tools: Familiarity with data management and software requirement tools and software, such as database management systems, data modeling tools, and requirement management platforms.
Technical Collaboration: strong collaboration skills to work effectively with technical teams in implementing data schema, data governance, and software requirements.
Strong understanding of scheduling sequences, dependencies and critical path
Abstraction of Data & Processes: Ability to abstract data and processes to create broad scalability without duplication of data or process steps.
Project Management: Ability to work effectively across a diverse team to ensure all stakeholders’ needs are met.
Analytical Skills
Business Process Mapping: Ability to map and analyze business processes to understand data requirements essential for business operations.

Position Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or Data Management, Business Administration or Management, Software Engineering, Information Systems.
5 plus years of related experience.
In addition to formal education, candidates with relevant certifications or specialized training in data management, data governance, software requirements, and project management (e.g., PMP or Agile certifications) may also be highly desirable for such a role.
