YOUR OPPORTUNITYThe Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the payroll process for APAC countries (Australia, Singapore and New Zealand), utilizing complex systems and processes, including maintaining award and classification codes in the Financial Systems as well as ensuring the seamless interface with the external payroll processing provider. This position works closely with the Human Resources Department, Finance Department and external payroll providers to complete all requirements.**

What You'll Do - Coordinate and undertake the payroll process utilizing applicable systems. - Troubleshooting and processing of ADP interface files, Bamboo employee master interface files - and GL interface files. - Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary - disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and - delivered within appropriate timeframes. - Review, update and maintain the financial system requirements, codes and allowance changes - in alignment with local legislation. - Liaise with Financial Accounting to ensure appropriate codes are in place when setting up new - employees. - Prepare complex payroll and human resource information for data input and assist with - checking, quality control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and - data integrity. - Be the conduit between employees and the external payroll provider for changes to retirement - elections and funding, tax requirements and other deductions. - Audit timesheet data and prepare payroll time sheet interface files and leave reports for APAC - and other regions. - Provide knowledge and expertise on award requirements relating to payroll matters to internal - customers this may include payroll legislative obligations including any applicable Awards, - agreements, policies, procedures etc. - Maintain strong relationships with the HRIS Systems administrators and the Human Resource - department personnel. - Contribute to process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery - reform activities. - Liaise with US and APAC on requirement gathering, testing changes and provide approvals to - move program changes into production. - Calculate, fund and file payroll tax as per local legislation. - Respond to and resolve internal and external payroll issues. - Liaise with external payroll provider in relation to end of financial year processing. - Prepare and provide agreed data to auditors as and when required.
WHO YOU ARE - Qualification in either Payroll specialization or Accounting. - Skills/Experience/Knowledge - Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas over a period of 3-5 years: - End-to-end payroll processing experience for Australia, New Zealand and Singapore is a must. - Strong knowledge and experience in complex Finance/Payroll systems, preferably ADP, Ceridian, - and Bamboo / Workday HRIS system. - An understanding and ability to interpret Industrial Relations and Award provisions and their - effects and obligations to both employees and managers. - Knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements in relation to taxation, superannuation - and other statutory obligations. - Strong information systems knowledge, including requirements gathering, testing and reviewing - program changes, creation of test files and change management. - Experience in Microsoft Office suite of products including outstanding excel skills, including pivot - tables and VLOOKUP’s. - Previous experience in being the point of contact with an external payroll provider.
