IT Operations Senior Associate / Manager - Virtual Asset Trading Platform Role

Company

Our client is a company applying to the virtual asset trading platform SFC type 1 and 7 licenses in Hong Kong. They are looking to build out a compliant, global, industry recognised virtual asset ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

Participation in the development and on-going refinement, enhancement and continuous process improvement for the crypto exchange and custody platforms.
Participation in the implementation, maintenance and operation of the systems to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of the services.
Work closely with the development team and management team in troubleshooting and involving in change management and incident management.
Liaise and be the key contact point with the third party service providers.
End to end ownership of the production environment, monitor and maintain the Applications performance and stability.
Provide ad hoc support during non-office hours in case required.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
4+ years of total experience in technical support role, preferably exposure to Exchange Trading System.
Good understanding of financial markets and trading operations of any of the asset class i.e., Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives or Digital Asset (Cryptocurrency).
Excellent problem-solving ability with a keen eye for details, and an analytical mind-set.
Prior change management, incident management, application support experience is preferred
Should have sense of urgency and understand the criticality of different issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English, be able to read and converse in Mandarin and Cantonese
Prior experience working with crypto exchange, custody and trade surveillance systems not required but a plus.
Able to work both independently and as part of team.
