Job Title: Program Manager, Indonesia

Their aim to create a multi billion-dollar valued business in the next 3 years spread across multiple countries but connected through digital centers of excellence.
They have received funding from some of the leading Global investors such as Sequoia, Stellaris Ventures, Fireside ventures and Sofina and valued at 730 million dollars (as of July’21).
Their brands: Their first brand is a toxin-free personal care brand spreads across categories like baby care, haircare, face & skincare with over 200 natural products under its umbrella. In a short span of 5 years, the products is growing at a breakneck pace & has become one of the fastest brands to reach USD 70 million in the personal care space. It’s available across eCommerce platforms and 2000 stores nationally. Our marquee products are ranked as bestsellers across Amazon.
Role and responsibilities:
After scaling aggressively in India, they are keen to test international waters with their product. Given the rapid pace of growth and innovation across Indonesia’s Beauty and Personal Care space, it is a market of interest to us. They are looking for a team to set up and scale our business in Indonesia.
Key responsibilities for this role will be as follows:
1. Program management:
- Create and lead the overall project plan for local entity incorporation and BPOM registration
- Work closely with external consultant, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure all compliances are met for BPOM, Halal & any other required registration
- Highlight risks to management team in India along with mitigation actions
2. Strategy for Go-to-Market
- Provide insights to the management team on recent trends in Indonesia’s Beauty and
Personal care space e.g. key categories, competition, channels, etc.
- Co-create Go-to-market strategy with management team in India i.e., identify right product categories, pricing, channels etc.
- Lead discussions with e-commerce platforms for listing products on their platforms
- Identify and onboard local vendors and partners to ensure smooth functioning of logistics and supply chain
- Identify and onboard local marketing agencies and digital agencies to drive online sales
- Set up process for returns, customer complaints and queries
Minimum qualifications/ Must have’s
- Undergraduate degree from a tier-1 college.
- 3-4 years of experience in a growing start-up/ D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) company / E-commerce platform in Indonesia
- Prior experience in setting up or scaling up a brand is preferable, but not necessary
- Experience in Beauty and Personal Care space is preferable, but not necessary
- Proficient in communication – English and Bahasa
- Strong skills in stakeholder management
- Hunger to learn and innovate
- Self- starter and driven to deliver results even in the face of ambiguity
