Description

Meltwater is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Enterprise Public Sector Account Executive to join our expanding Enterprise Public Sector team. The Public Sector Account Executive is responsible for pursuing new prospects across our Public Sector portfolio (Fed/SLED), and selling Meltwater’s comprehensive media intelligence and social listening solutions to clients.

The Enterprise Account Executive must be a self-starting closer who can create a large pipeline of business and drive revenue growth, properly navigate government procurement processes leveraging Meltwater’s channel partners, and has experience selling to US Federal and/or State and/or Local Government . The right candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of Meltwater’s value proposition and will be responsible for managing all stages of the sales process.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage sales pipeline through sequential states of the sales process: pipeline creation, contract mapping and capture, initial outreach, product demo, negotiation and close, and upsell/cross-sell
  • Take a consultative approach with senior leadership levels while navigating multiple decision-makers
  • Establish a “trusted advisor” relationship to determine needs, build value, create engagement and acceptance of Meltwater’s solutions.
  • High energy, self-starting personality that works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Conduct activities including, outbound calls, emails, social selling, networking, RFP coordination & management, and sales demonstrations with government or enterprise organizations
  • Consistently exceed your quarterly sales quota and be well compensated for doing so

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of sales experience, preferably in the SaaS industry with a minimum of 2 years of experience selling to government clients
  • Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player mentality with the ability to work independently toward lofty goals
  • Well rounded with varied interests, background and proven leadership experience
  • Coachable, self-motivated, curious and resilient
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritization, scheduling and time management
  • Bachelor’s degree with evidence of high achievement in academics and extracurriculars

What We Will Give You

  • Competitive Compensation – Base Salary of $90k –$125k USD per year + [discretionary] [annual/monthly/quarterly] bonus [subject to the terms of the applicable bonus plan] + uncapped commission [subject to the terms of the applicable commission plan]. Total compensation range for this position: $180k-$260k USD per year.
