Job Description

As an Global Vendor Tooling Ford Champ, you would be working to support the Buyers to develop and execute the appropriate sourcing strategy to purchase production tools, making sure that is complying with quality requirements, negotiate the best cost, meet saving goals and assure the supply of parts/molds on time. All this, to support the different programs for the NA region. You will be working with a local team and will interact and negotiate with suppliers all around the world, 90% of the meetings you will support via audio conference will be with people outside of Mexico (Mostly USA, Canada, Germany and China).

At the same time, you will be required to support the team in executing and implementing the different initiatives and projects to modernize and optimize our sourcing process and to better utilize data to drive our decision-making process. For this, you will be working with colleagues from the organization located in Mexico, USA, Germany and Brazil. **

Responsibilities**

• Support GVT buyers in the sourcing process – Support during meetings and sourcing strategy development with other team members and suppliers globally
• Support and lead when necessary with the execution and implementation of the projects in progress to better analyze and use data (Data analytics)
• Review and maintain the cost databases
• Help the team to implement new data analytics tools for the GVT organization globally
• Develop analysis of sourcing to identify patterns and opportunities

• Motivated to learn new things and support all the team
• Any knowledge in programing, macros, or any data analytics tool is desirable but not a must (PowerBI, QlikSense, Tableau, Python)
