Mission:
As part of OPC team for Nickel Spanish Branch, OPC Support officer will support the proper organization and execution of the controls of the first line of defense (LoD1), jointly with other departments of the company that manage risks inherent to their activities, and the Risk Department (ie. the second line of defense - LoD2).
Responsabilities:
Animation and support
● Conduct LoD1 controls that cannot be performed by the Business as per task segregation requirements.
● Support the Head of OPC in the identification and assessment of risks in coordination with central teams.
● Provide support to departments in the use of control tools (Risk360, Aodocs).
● Identify, evaluate and manage Operational Risk:
○ Animation of the adaptation/review/completion of LoD1 control plans
○ Promote the review and completion of KRIs
○ Support in the preparation of the monthly LoD1 Committee
○ Coordination of the annual review of risks mapping
Procedures
● Promote having up-to-date process mappings and procedures:
○ Ensure that the procedures designed by the Business and functions are identified, updated, properly stored and communicated to the relevant stakeholders locally
○ Ensure compliance with BNP Group, Nickel head office, or local regulation where applicable
● Support to all departments in updating and creating local procedures.
Awareness and follow-up
● Ensure awareness and implementation of the Permanent Control framework:
○ Follow-up of adequate implementation of remediations, Action Plans, management of historical incidents
○ Follow-up of historical incident reporting
● Continuously raise awareness on issues in terms of risks and regulations.
● Follow up on the implementation of the recommendations (Risk, internal and external audits, etc.).
Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field (desirable)
Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience relevant to the job in the financial services industry (Internal Audit, Compliance, Internal Control)
• Knowledge of risks management
Languages:
Spanish - Fluent
English - Fluent
French - Optional
Technical:
• Knowledge of risks management
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Google Workspace
