About The Role
As the Director of Technology, Data & Analytics you will be responsible for leading the data efforts within Technology. Your expertise in data sourcing, evaluation, modeling, and governance will be crucial in supporting our investment decision-making processes and driving innovation in our data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
Data Strategy and Management:
- Develop and execute the data strategy, focusing on data needs for the entire company.
- Oversee the collection, transformation, and quality assurance of diverse data sources.
- Collaborate with team members across technology and the business to identify data-driven opportunities and drive innovation in business strategies.
- Develop frameworks and methodologies for integrating and normalizing diverse data sets, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance policies, data standards, and data architecture frameworks.
Data Selection And Sourcing
- Identify and evaluate a wide range of traditional and non-traditional data sources.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the data landscape, staying updated on emerging data sources, vendors, and technologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external data providers to negotiate contracts, access/entitle data, and ensure compliance with data licensing and usage agreements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and optimize data architectures, data pipelines, and data warehouses to support asset management needs.
Data Initiative Program Management
- Lead and manage data-driven initiatives and projects, overseeing the program, including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to key partners, ensuring successful and timely project delivery.
Leadership And Collaboration
- Collaborate with data professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
- Stay informed about emerging data technologies, tools, and platforms, assessing their potential impact on data management and analytics capabilities.
- Evaluate and recommend data technology solutions to support data cataloging, data integration, data governance, and data analytics.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
- Bachelor s Degree
- Strong expertise in data management, data governance, and data architecture principles.
- Familiarity with analytic and visualization technologies a plus (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, SQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data management standard processes.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Independent and strategic problem solver; accountable for and skilled in exercising sound judgment
- Validated attention to detail as well as effective time management abilities
- Passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of the curve in the data analytics field.
