About the Role:

In your role as Area Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of re-engaging previous customer accounts, playing a key role in boosting sales across our diverse product offerings in Northern Germany. Additionally, you'll have the exciting opportunity to uncover new business prospects while nurturing and enhancing relationships with our valued existing customers and industry partners.

This position calls for a robust technical background in industrial capital equipment, sharp commercial acumen, and a keen ability to spot and seize opportunities across various customer sectors. While you'll benefit from the support of dedicated technical subject matter experts, you will be encouraged to thrive with a high level of autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Kick off by revitalizing and re-engaging with our historical customer base in the region
  • Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for magnetic separation, vibratory, and inspection systems throughout Northern Germany
  • Steer the entire sales cycle, from generating and qualifying leads to quotes, negotiations, and successfully closing orders
  • Discover exciting new business prospects within key sectors such as food, packaging, recycling, and heavy industries like quarrying and mining
  • Foster robust relationships with our existing customers and partners to ensure exceptional satisfaction and encourage repeat business
  • Offer insightful product recommendations and technical consultations, backed by our dedicated applications and engineering teams
  • Participate in trade shows, networking events, and customer site visits as necessary
  • Keep precise records of all activities and opportunities in the CRM system, effectively managing the entire sales pipeline from initial inquiry to final closure
  • Provide regular updates on regional sales performance and market trends to senior management

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in technical or capital equipment sales, preferably within key sectors such as food processing, bulk handling, recycling, or material processing
  • Proven experience in B2B industrial sales, especially in environments characterized by longer sales cycles
  • Robust understanding of engineering solutions coupled with the skill to convey complex technical concepts clearly
  • Self-motivated and organized, comfortable with remote work and ready for regular travel (70-80% of the time)
  • Fluent in German (native or near-native) and adept in English, both spoken and written
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Possession of a valid driving license with the capability to undertake extensive travel throughout Northern Germany and the EU, including occasional international trips to company facilities and clients
