Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Real Estate Investment Analyst to support senior investment professionals in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, assisting with development, and managing portfolio assets. This role is vital to executing successful investment strategies and delivering stakeholder value.

Benefits and Compensation:

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling:

Create complex Excel-based cash flow models for acquisitions and development projects.

Collaboration and Budgeting:

Coordinate with the Design + Construction team to maintain accurate development budgets.

Market Analysis:

Collect and analyze comparable market data for benchmarking operations and determining exit values.

Investment Documentation:

Prepare detailed investment memoranda clearly communicating investment opportunities.

Transaction Coordination:

Support transaction closings by coordinating with capital partners, legal counsel, and title companies, reviewing settlement statements, and ensuring data integrity.

Portfolio Management:

Monitor and manage existing portfolio assets, evaluating recapitalizations and dispositions.

Stakeholder Presentations:

Clearly present investment rationale to senior team members and stakeholders.

Financial Projections:

Prepare quarterly cash flow projections and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.

Working Hours:

Must be available to work from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time (Los Angeles hours).

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in real estate analysis, preferably focused on new development or construction equity investments.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university; Real Estate or Finance degree preferred.

Skills & Requirements:

Strong quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and real estate valuation skills.
Experience in real estate, investment banking, or private equity is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent attitude, teamwork, and strong work ethic.
Ability to independently manage workload, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
