Description

Manage  key accounts in the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical, biotech, as well as engineering firms, control systems integrators, BAS contractors, instrumentation contractors and engineering firms. You’ll represent a portfolio of world-class manufacturers offering solutions in:

  • Instrumentation – Level, flow, pressure, temperature, and analytical
  • Valves – Control valves, sanitary diaphragm valves, and high-purity ball valves
  • Gas  & Flame Detection
  • Electrical System Components
  • Industrial Networking Equipment

This is a high-impact, relationship-focused role where you'll lead technical sales efforts, grow revenue, and become a trusted advisor for your customers.

  

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow business at leading life sciences facilities and engineering      firms
  • Build  multi-level relationships across engineering, maintenance, automation, and      procurement teams
  • Identify  and close capital project and MRO opportunities
  • Recommend technical solutions and support product selection
  • Collaborate with inside sales and manufacturer teams to prepare quotes and proposals
  • Influence  specifications and standards during early project design
  • Log activities and manage opportunities in CRM
  • Attend trade shows and industry events (ISPE, PDA, ISA, etc.)

Requirements

   

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.)


3–7  year s of outside sales or technical sales experience in industrial automation or process control

  • Experience  working with pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation, valves, or automation hardware
  • Excellent  communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency  with CRM software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid  driver’s license and ability to travel regionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, STEM, marketing, or equivalent experience preferred

  Not required, but preferred

  • Experience  engaging engineering firms like IPS, Jacobs, CRB, or Fluor
  • Familiarity  with manufacturers such as Endress+Hauser, IMI PBM, Saunders, Baker Hughes, Turck, MSA and Raychem
  • Knowledge  of GMP, clean utility systems, and Pharma 4.0 initiatives
  • Proven  track record in strategic project pursuit – ability to conduct customer needs assessment and stakeholder analysis.

  • Primary environment: ambient  room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a  typical office environment
  • Also requires visits and walkdowns in manufacturing plants 
  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed.
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface but also uneven or production floor environments  for periodic periods throughout the day. 
  • May require climbing on ladders and in confined spaces
  • Reaching above shoulder  heights, below the waist or lifting as required in order lift products and other items throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting to 30 pounds on occasion.
  • The performance of this  position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection as you will be exposed to smells, light, noise and may be expired to all other things found in a chemical and other manufacturing environment. 
Salary Description
$80,000-$100,000
