Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for managing and supporting business growth, profitability and retention through development of customer service strategies, and staff execution of the strategies, within the field Employee Benefits Sales and Service Office to develop flexible and expert employees. You will get to work with the Director of Field Service to coordinate a service strategy you’re your assigned office(s) that align with the overall service vision of the sales organizations. You will partner with the Employee Benefits Sales Manager in meeting office goals to ensure long-term profitability and growth of the office block of business consistent with the goals of the division. Additional key aspects of the role include:

  • Develop and implement a business plan for assigned offices that encompasses a strategic focus to maintain profitability, persistency and growth objectives.
  • Lead and motivate the staff to ensure appropriate focus on the customer is achieved throughout the customer life cycle.
  • Provide leadership and counseling to the staff to manage their block of customers towards successful renewals, salable due to consistent service delivery.
  • Review, negotiate and resolve complex service issues escalated by staff and other internal and external customers.  Attend finalist presentations or other customer facing meetings and regularly accompany Account Managers on broker and/or customer visits.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in supervision, preferably in the Employee Benefits field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

Professional certification required: Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office’s assigned territory and the state of New York.

Other: Personal automobile is available for business use with adequate insurance and a safe driving record.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

130000
