Senior Software Engineer

Two Six Technologies is looking for a software engineer to join the Information Operations software engineering team to be a hands-on-keyboard contributor to our SaaS solutions supporting mission-critical communications technology. You will be responsible for developing, testing, troubleshooting, and securing software as part of a team of 5 other engineers.

Our environments are in AWS, with most of our applications running in Docker containers managed with Kubernetes. You are a great fit if you are experienced with Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Postgres. 

Most of your day to day will be focused on engineering activities, prioritizing quality while delivering impactful features that our customers rely on to conduct business in the national security space. 

This role is fully remote within the continental United States. A security clearance is not required but is a definite plus. Travel would generally be limited to one or two trips a year to our Arlington Virginia headquarters or other nearby offices.

Our teams are doing innovative development across a wide range of technologies, including building large, distributed computing platforms that process huge quantities of data each day, leveraging large language models (LLMs) and generative AI to enrich and improve analysis of that data, and we are supporting important missions of our customers. TSI Engineering is a critical enabler of all of this work and this role is a great opportunity to be a part of it. 

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, or equivalent qualifications and practical experience,
• 3 years of experience with software engineering from a backend or full stack perspective, including database integration, automation, and Kubernetes web-based applications on Linux,
• 3 years of combined Go, Python and JavaScript experience.

Nice to haves:

• Strong communication skills, including technical writing and visualization,
• Experience working with and supporting UX/UI or QA automation team members,
• Experience with development on AWS and using Elastic/ELK,
• Experience with Postgres or similar open source SQL databases,
• Experience with git, GitOps, Flux, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.

Security Clearance:

• Eligibility to obtain a government clearance if required/needed.
• TS Cleared Preferred
