The Director, Physician Engagement and KOL Development, is responsible for building and executing a global strategy to identify, engage, and activate influential physicians and key opinion leaders (KOLs) across Telix’s core theranostic areas. This role drives physician advocacy, fosters long-term brand loyalty, and ensures that commercial strategies are informed by real-world clinical insight and thought leader partnership. The director will develop and maintain a robust KOL engagement framework, create peer-to-peer programs, advisory boards, and speaker initiatives, and deliver targeted advocacy strategies to amplify Telix’s leadership position. This role works cross-functionally with global marketing, regional marketing, medical affairs, clinical, and field teams to ensure coordinated, compliant, and strategically aligned KOL interactions that advance brand goals, inform lifecycle strategy, and shape market perception. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in KOL mapping and management, a strong commercial mindset, and a passion for building authentic relationships with leading experts and rising influencers in the field.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development of a global KOL and influencer engagement strategy to support Telix’s diagnostic and therapeutic portfolio.
  • Identify and map high-impact physicians, rising stars, digital influencers, and institutional champions by market and therapeutic area.
  • Design and manage engagement programs including advisory boards, 1:1 interactions, field engagements, clinical experience exchanges, and advocacy forums.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing, medical affairs, and field teams to ensure coordinated and compliant KOL interactions that drive advocacy across the patient journey.
  • Partner with brand teams to co-create scientific narratives and collect market insights that influence positioning, messaging, and life-cycle strategy.
  • Develop speaker training strategies and manage speaker bureau development for brand campaigns and peer-to-peer initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs to measure depth of engagement, advocacy strength, and impact on commercial outcomes.

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in physician engagement, KOL strategy, or brand marketing in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong background in HCP segmentation, influencer mapping, and engagement planning.
  • Proven track record of building trusted relationships with KOLs and aligning them to brand goals.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with field teams, medical affairs, and commercial leadership.
  • Experience in oncology, radiology, urology, or nuclear medicine preferred.
