Summary:

In this role, you will manage and oversee national accounts involving safety net hospital systems and healthcare networks that are strategic in nature or critical to revenue retention and growth.  You will be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to individual health systems and the senior leadership throughout the organization for Vizient’s services, understanding industry trends and the members’ businesses, concerns, successes, and challenges.  The territory will largely consist of clients located within the Central and Western regions of the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships with C-suite and operational team critical decision-makers for assigned accounts.

  • Provide intelligence of the safety net healthcare market and data-driven insights that influence strategic priorities.

  • Identify service and solution growth opportunities and manage member evolution across assigned accounts/prospects, demonstrating awareness of the breadth and depth of Vizient’s solutions.

  • Understand and shape solutions to meet member needs and enable the consulting process, applying knowledge of services, insights, and industry.

  • Partner with providers to drive their performance in cost, quality, and market share.

  • Facilitate scope approval and statement of work (SOW) discussions.

  • Manage forecast, revenue, service levels, profitability and growth of accounts, and total member value.

  • Identify and address interdependencies across projects ensuring connectivity between business units, and ensuring Vizient solutions are utilized effectively to drive value/performance improvement at the provider level.

  • Resolve key service delivery issues, ensuring members are satisfied with delivery quality.

  • Direct a matrixed provider-facing team to deliver results.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.  Master’s degree desired.

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required in a healthcare consulting, consultative solution-selling, and/or hospital leadership role. 

  • Experience working across the enterprise, continuously connecting people and initiatives to drive results for providers and Vizient as a whole is needed.

  • Proven track record of managing large national accounts and achieving revenue targets strongly desired.

  • Demonstrated experience working with safety-net hospitals and a deep understanding of the challenges they face in serving underserved populations within resource-constrained environments.

  • Strategic, analytical, and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving desired.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Excels at setting goals, developing actionable plans, and mitigating risks.

  • Ability to manage time effectively while leading multiple strategic engagements.

  • Candidates currently residing within the Central and Western regions of the United States desired.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.
