Workday Financial Project Manager
Locations: 100% remote (client located in Texas)
Duration: 12 mo. contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Financial Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end implementation and optimization of Workday Financials. This role requires strong project management capabilities, deep understanding of financial systems, and experience coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful Workday solutions on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage Workday Financials implementation projects from initiation through deployment and post-go-live optimization.
Partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans.
Coordinate and track progress of solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
Facilitate system design sessions, review configuration proposals, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
Manage risks, issues, and project dependencies, providing clear communication and resolution strategies.
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Workday functional/technical teams.
Oversee data conversion, integrations, and testing strategy for financial modules (e.g., Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects).
Ensure training and change management plans are executed to support user adoption.
Provide post-implementation support planning, performance reporting, and continuous improvement oversight.

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in Workday Financials implementations.
Strong knowledge of financial processes (general ledger, procurement, accounts payable/receivable, project accounting).
Proven success managing large-scale SaaS implementations, preferably Workday.
PMP or comparable certification preferred.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate matrixed environments.
