About The Position And The Team

The Business Development team at TransImpact is a key driver of our growth and success. As a BDR, you’ll play a vital role in generating new business by identifying high-potential prospects, sparking interest in our supply chain and parcel solutions, and booking qualified meetings for our sales team. This is a high-impact role where your outreach and relationship-building skills help lay the foundation for future revenue.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in cold prospecting for a technology-focused company, using phone, email, and social media to engage potential customers. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a high-performance sales culture and consistently delivers results against quota.

A strong candidate will also be comfortable using CRM and sales engagement tools such as HubSpot (or similar) and ZoomInfo. A bachelor’s degree or completion of specialized, verifiable BDR/SDR training is preferred. This role will report to the Senior Demand Generation Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social media to engage potential prospects and book qualified meetings for the Sales team
  • Create personalized messages and scripts for email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate interest and book meetings
  • Build, manage, and continuously optimize email outbound email sequences to engage prospects
  • Make 50+ outbound calls and execute 100+ total prospecting activities per day
  • Qualify inbound and event-generated leads, ensuring accurate handoff to Sales
  • Partner with Sales to identify and prioritize target accounts
  • Maintain detailed lead records and update contact, account, and activity status in CRM (HubSpot or similar)
  • Build and maintain prospect lists using ZoomInfo and other research tools
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Content teams to align messaging and optimize outreach plans
  • Share insights and market feedback to inform campaign strategies and product positioning
  • Attend regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and coaching sessions to continually improve performance
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics
  • Conduct needs analysis and discovery to determine prospect fit
  • Job Responsibilities and any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and support our organization’s values

Qualifications And Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1–3 years of related BDR/SDR experience or completion of a formal BDR/SDR training program
  • Proven success in cold outreach via phone, email, and social media
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, confident presence
  • CRM experience required (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar), plus familiarity with sales tools like ZoomInfo
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and competitive with a team-first mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • High integrity and a desire for long-term career growth in sales and marketing
  • Able to analyze activity and performance metrics to optimize results
  • Bonus: Experience engaging prospects at conferences or virtual events

What We Will Love About You

  • You want to be a part of something bigger than yourself
  • You respect all people
  • You are mature and thoughtful in how you express ideas; a strong verbal and written communicator.
  • You hustle every day and understand the importance of urgency and owning your outcomes.
  • You’re a leader and a teambuilder.
  • You’re goal-oriented and know how to influence others to move in a unified direction.
