As our new Sales Account Manager, you will focus on the Chromatography and Spectroscopy market in Ireland and Northern Ireland. You will be the primary point of contact for the entire Agilent Chemistries and Supplies (analytical consumables) product portfolio - such as HPLC and GC columns, Sample Preparation Products, and Lab Supplies - while developing and implementing successful sales strategies to overachieve on quota.
As an integral member of the Agilent Chemistries and Supplies Sales team, you will work to deliver customer centric solutions, focus on developing new business and relationships to expand Agilent’s footprint with our extensive portfolio.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Cultivating and managing strategic customer relationships.
• Engaging with customers to understand their unique requirements, providing tailored solutions to complex tasks and queries, thereby crafting new valuable business opportunities.
• Achieving sales targets across Agilent's Consumables Portfolio.
• Partnering with internal teams, including product development specialists, to lead and guide projects focused on developing new applications, enhancing customer satisfaction, and securing significant sales opportunities.
• Working closely with the Marketing team to ensure consistent and accurate product messaging aligns with program deliverables, supporting effective marketing initiatives.
While this is a remote role, the ideal candidate will be based in Leinster area as proximity to key clients provides strategic advantages for in-person meetings.
We are seeking a dynamic professional with the following background:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
• Approximately 1–2 years of hands-on experience in customer-facing sales roles.
• Strong practical knowledge of laboratory techniques, particularly in Chromatography, Spectroscopy, and Mass Spectrometry, with a focus on applications in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors.
• Strong business development and sales/closing skills.
• Available for up to 50% business travel.
• Fluent in English, with exceptional communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in chromatography consumables sales/marketing.
• Proven success in managing medium to large accounts, with a track record of selling both existing and new technology products.
• Understanding of the Environmental and Food market segments is a very welcome addition.
