ABOUT THE ROLE: Director, Marketing Operations

Aviatrix is seeking a motivated and experienced Director, Marketing Operations to lead the Marketing Operations team. This role will report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for managing our marketing tech stack, overseeing and optimizing marketing processes, and driving efficiency across marketing functions in alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing operations, a strong understanding of technology and data/analytics, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the marketing leadership team to align marketing operations with overall business goals.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing operations strategy and process that enhances Marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

Marketing Technology Management:

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, optimization, and integration of marketing technologies (e.g. CRM systems, marketing automation, analytics tools, AI tools, etc.) to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.
  • Evangelizes the use of AI (generative and agentic) to create scale across all marketing functions
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and stay abreast of industry trends

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Analyze marketing performance data to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing marketing efforts/strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of marketing data, implementing data governance and quality control measures.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, train and develop a high-performing marketing operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Stay apprised of industry trends (especially AI) and share knowledge as well as, best practices with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, IT, finance, product, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing operations strategies.
  • Work closely with the IT team to address technical issues and enhance systems integrations.

Budget Management:

  • Collaborate with Finance and Marketing leadership to develop and manage marketing budgets and forecasting, allocate resources effectively, and optimize spending to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Monitor spending to ensure optimal allocation of resources and return on investment.

Demand Generation Ops:

  • Design and refine lead capture, scoring, and nurturing workflows that align with industry best practices and support efficient lead conversion and robust pipeline generation.
  • Work very closely with revenue ops to track marketing-sourced pipeline generation and conversion.
  • Act as an operations lead for the Demand Generation team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a B2B SaaS organization.
  • Proven track record in marketing operations and driving efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing technology landscape (including marketing automation, CRM, analytics, etc), analytics and best practices.
  • Hands-on and proven experience in architecting and developing foundational marketing technologies (e.g. Marketo, Salesforce, Drift, ABM, Gifting, etc.)
  • Excellent proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and using insights to drive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing, motivating and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional collaboration, and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $192,865 - $226,900 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity and is bonus eligible. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education.  The range displayed is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US. Your total compensation package will be based on job-related knowledge, education, certifications and location, per our aligned ranges.
