Clariti is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow one of our core product engineering teams focused on our Salesforce-based platform. This is a player-coach role where you will not only lead, mentor, and manage a talented team of Salesforce engineers (including junior, intermediate, and senior developers) but also contribute technically through hands-on coding, design reviews, and architectural input. You'll spend a portion of your time developing software solutions alongside your team, staying current with technical challenges.
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, Herman Chan the Engineering Manager, Salesforce Platform (Play-Coach) you will be instrumental in driving the execution of your team, ensuring the sustainable delivery of high-quality software that delivers significant business and customer impact. You will run a tight ship, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous learning, while actively partnering with product management and other stakeholders to define strategy and achieve ambitious goals. You will play a vital role in maximizing the benefits of the Salesforce platform within our organization.
As an Engineering Manager, Salesforce Platform (Play-Coach) at Clariti, you’ll get to :
- Lead & Coach:
- Manage, mentor, and foster the career growth of a diverse team of Salesforce engineers (junior to senior), providing regular feedback, coaching, individual development plans, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Cultivate a healthy, inclusive, and supportive team environment focused on psychological safety, growth, high performance, and delivering impactful results for business and customers.
- Set clear expectations, evaluate performance effectively, and manage both high and low performance with a focus on excellence.
- Act as a calming influence during times of change and uncertainty, coaching the team through complexity and ambiguity.
- Execute & Deliver:
- Independently lead your team to deliver business impact through successfully driving results on projects in support of semi-annual/annual goals.
- Run efficient processes and operational cadences (sync/async), leveraging Agile methodologies to get to the right outcomes.
- Drive project execution, manage priorities, remove blockers, and ensure your team delivers results across multiple impactful projects with a high standard of quality and adherence to best practices.
- Own the resolution of operational issues (e.g., SEVs) within your sphere of responsibility, driving urgency and learning from incidents.
- Actively seek out and eliminate sources of toil and technical debt, prioritizing work that leads to lower maintenance, measurable impact, and system reliability.
- Technical Contribution & Strategy:
- Actively contribute to the codebase (design, coding, code reviews) alongside your team, maintaining proficiency in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL etc.) as well as full stack development (Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, etc)
- Provide technical guidance, lead technical design discussions, review architecture, and ensure alignment with overall technical strategy, consulting with Staff Engineers where appropriate.
- Champion bold and innovative technical approaches, setting audacious goals and fostering a growth mindset that encourages experimentation, learning, and adoption of new technologies.
- Partner with Product Management and other stakeholders to define your team's strategy and roadmap, translating business needs into engineering plans and aligning with company-wide priorities.
- Help define, track, and ensure team alignment on quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), connecting team efforts to broader company objectives and desired outcomes.
- Collaborate & Influence:
- Build healthy partnerships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Design, other Engineering teams), effectively influencing outcomes and resolving conflicts.
- Communicate effectively (company updates, team strategy, technical decisions) ensuring context, understanding, and alignment across teams and with leadership.
- Identify new opportunities for your team that have significant customer, organizational, or company-wide impact.
- Actively participate in hiring, interviewing, and assessment processes to build and retain a diverse and talented team.
What do you bring to the team? 🧠
- Proven Leadership: Minimum of 3+ years of direct people management experience in a software engineering environment. This is not a first-time management role.
- Technical Depth: Strong foundation in software development principles and demonstrable experience with the Salesforce platform (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs, platform limitations) and full stack development (Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, etc). Hands-on coding ability is required.
- Coaching Acumen: Proven ability to coach and mentor engineers across all levels (junior, intermediate, senior), fostering professional development and helping build career paths.
- Execution Excellence: Strong project and team management skills. Experience running agile development processes, managing priorities, mitigating risks, and consistently delivering expected outcomes with quality.
- Strategic Thinking: Experience contributing to team strategy, setting goals (like OKRs), and making informed decisions that balance technical trade-offs, customer value, and business needs.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners, manage ambiguity, and resolve conflict.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Growth Mindset: Self-awareness, empathy, proactive approach to feedback and self-development, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Application/System Architect).

💰 The base salary range for this role is expected to be between $138,000-195,000 CND based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications while considering internal pay equity and our broader pay philosophy. 💰
