Growth Marketing Manager

FitXR is a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement.

We started life in 2016 in a garden shed in the UK. Today, we’re building FitXR, one of the top-downloaded apps on the Meta Quest store. We’ve raised close to $30m from top investors such as Maveron, Hiro, and BoostVC.

We've built a growing range of fitness studios, from box workouts with world-class trainers like Olympian Nicola Adams to immersive Zumba dance classes. While nothing compares to trying it yourself, you can watch a trailer here.

TLDR

We’re a fast-growing VR fitness startup with a mission to make movement more accessible and effective for those who aren’t served by the current fitness solutions in the market. With a product people love and a strong core team of 45, we’re ready to build our acquisition engine and hire an innovative, up and coming leader who can build a new frontier for the space we operate within.

Operating as an IC, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and executing the tactics that bring our product to more people. You’ll have autonomy to test across channels, dig into data, and scale what works—while helping reshape our growth strategy from the ground up.

Where you’ll spend your time

🧪 Experimentation & Acquisition

  • Design, run, and analyze growth experiments across paid, organic, and owned channels
  • Become an expert in driving visibility across the Meta Horizon store through paid, SEO, and more
  • Launch and optimize campaigns across Meta, Horizon, influencer, and other platforms that you’ll define
  • Own CAC, LTV, and channel ROI—focusing on efficiency and scale

📈  Funnel Optimization

  • Own the marketing funnel from awareness to trial conversion
  • Identify drop-off points and build hypotheses to improve performance
  • Partner with Product to evolve onboarding and conversion flows

📊 Data & Measurement

  • Define success metrics for each initiative; build dashboards and reports for leadership
  • Analyze cohort and attribution data to inform budget and channel decisions
  • Inform future expansion of our measurement platforms and tooling

🤝 Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with marketing team on GTM plans, positioning tests, and channel alignment
  • Work with Design and Content to create high-performing assets
  • Interface with Product and external partners as needed


We’d love to see from you

  • Proven experience in growth, performance, lifecycle marketing, or full-stack digital marketing
  • Hands-on experience with platform stores like Meta Quest, Apple App Store, Google Play, or Steam
  • Experience running paid campaigns hands-on (Meta, Google, TikTok, or others)
  • An insatiable desire to leverage AI to accelerate learnings, capabilities, and impact
  • Curiosity for innovative growth plays
  • Case studies that prove impact of both paid and organic initiatives towards growth objectives
  • Solid grasp of proven experimentation frameworks
  • Ability to pull insights from data and turn them into action
  • Passion or familiarity with VR, gaming or fitness

Nice to haves but not essential

  • Experience in mobile/app growth or subscription businesses
  • Exposure to organic growth levers: ASO, SEO, referral, content

Logistics 🛠

Our interview process takes place on Google Hangouts and tends to consist of the following stages:

  • Initial screen with the Talent team

  • 1st Stage-Competency focus

  • 2nd Stage-Cross Collaboration focus

  • Assignment and Founder Stage
