As a Manager, you will lead sizable client relationships and communications, providing exceptional client service.

Managers lead successful earned media campaigns and guide the team to secure earned media results with a detail-oriented project management prowess. In addition to account management, the Manager is pivotal to the organization, contributing to new business development, business management, and team management and playing a pivotal role in achieving financial goals.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development of award-winning earned media and influencer plans as well as activations/tentpoles
  • Ensures the success of client programming, including campaigns, activations, and partnerships
  • Oversees day-to-day client projects to ensure deadline and budget adherence, setting client expectations for the team; is accountable for client satisfaction of all projects managed
  • Develops strategic earned media and influencer communication plans backed by insights, timelines, and budget estimates
  • Supports the strategic communications planning process and leads in presenting ideas to the client
  • Edits and reviews media materials – pitches, bios, infographics, case studies, backgrounders, and more
  • Reviews media lists to ensure they are robust and detailed
  • Identifies potential issues and conflicts and steps in for problem-solving as needed
  • Actively contributes to new business processes; assists in the preparation of new business proposals, RFPs, and budgets
  • Identifies organic new business opportunities from existing clients
  • Assists in managing client's budget, including fees and OOPs
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage projects to maintain profitability and revenue targets
  • Supports the account/practice leader with effective resource allocation
  • Inspires, manages, evaluates, develops, and mentors employees
  • Provides ongoing constructive feedback on performance compliance and ethical business conduct
Requirements
  • 5+ years of work experience in public relations/communications or related field
  • Experience developing highly successful earned media strategies
  • Ability to write for senior-level audiences
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and lead
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong media relations expertise to coach and train junior team members
  • Coaches team to be clear, concise, and articulate in all communication and presentations, offering feedback as necessary
  • A developed sense of the new media landscape
  • Strong organizational, people, and project management skills
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Ability to complete activities within assigned deadlines and budget
  • Polished communication (written and verbal) skills - both in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
