Job Summary:
REMOTE POSITION
This position will ensure timely payment for medical services rendered, by providing accurate flow of billing information and patient data between providers, patients, and third-party payers.

Essential Functions:
· Coordinate and evaluate medical billing and collection activities
· Monitor patient accounts
· Process claims for reimbursement
· Ensure collections are accurate and up to date
· Work payer remittance advices and accurately post payments and denials
· Work through denied charges with insurance companies
· Enter charges into electronic patient accounts
· Verify accuracy and completeness of claims prior to submission
· Read and interpret benefit information
· Utilize monthly aging accounts receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims
· Respond to patient inquiries using excellent customer service skills
· Resolve reimbursement issues

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to work with dates, rates, and taxes. Ability to apply concepts of basic and more advanced algebra.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to concentrate, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Preferably prior experience with EHR

Schedule Expectations:
This position is regular full-time. Regular, full-time employees are employees who are not in a temporary status and who are regularly scheduled to work a minimum of forty (40) hours weekly and maintain continuous employment status.
Regenexx’s standard work week begins on Monday at 8:00 a.m. and ends on Friday night at 5:00 p.m. Full-time employees are expected to work 8 hours each workday, five days each week. Business hours may also vary depending on location and individual work schedules may vary depending on the needs of each department.
