Staff Software Engineer - Frontend (Web)

Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Frontend Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this highly advanced engineering role, you will lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of scalable, high-quality frontend systems, including React-based user interfaces, component libraries, client-side rendering solutions, and responsive web applications.

As a key technical leader, you will drive innovation across our frontend architecture, contribute to cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior engineers. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our frontend technology stack, improving existing products, exploring new technical solutions, and ensuring our applications are maintainable, performant, and user-focused.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex frontend features.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level  engineers.
• Drive best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver product features.
• Lead research and development of innovative, experimental features
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and guidelines.
• Drive improvements to the development process and tooling.
• Contribute to upgrading and maintaining core web technologies (React, NextJS, Node.JS)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience in frontend software development.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, Typescript and related web technologies.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux) and frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest).
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
