Job description

Purpose of this Role:
Looking for a mid-senior level ServiceNow technical expert, an individual contributor, who will be responsible for technical delivery – support, development, and consulting. Role will also contribute to technical support, solution development - analysis, design, development

As a “Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow”, you will
1. Act as senior technical expert in area of platform support delivery – technical support, solution design and development, and consulting.
2. Act as key counterpart with ServiceNow Platform Architect and ITSM Service Manager for technical consultation.
3. Collaborate with the team by following, analysing, planning, implementing the assigned demands and requests.
4. Resolve Platform or application-level issues, perform root cause analysis and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to escalate any unsolved issues. Maintain RCA documents.
5. Design and implement solutions - analysis, design, implement and test. Create technical specifications and testcases.
6. Devise and implement platform specific best practices and improvements.
7. Represent technical forums – DevForums, CAB etc. as a lead technical consultant and solution advisor.
8. Monitor and maintain optimal system performance. Analyse, propose, and implement solutions for system performance degradation. 9. Utilize technology know-how to automate and simplify standard working process.
10. Coordinate with business users and other stakeholders 11. Develop KMDB & KEDB (technical guide, FAQs, How-tos)

As a successful candidate you need to have
1. More than 7 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow technical Platform and its components - business rules, client scripts, UI policies and actions, UI pages and macros, script includes, Catalog items, workflows, web services, reports, etc.
2. Experience working on IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, GRC
3. Good Knowledge of Flow Designer, Integration Hub, MID Server installation and management, Event management, Orchestration.
4. Experience in performing major version upgrades, Cloning related activities.
5. Strong hands-on experience on Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Jelly Scripting, Angular JS, JSON, Web Services, etc.)
6. Good knowledge of ITIL methodologies, ITSM concepts, RDBMS. Good to have ITIL certification.
7. Good knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and new features. 8. Good knowledge of SDLC processes and best practices – coding, DevOps, testing.
