 We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our team. We are a completely remote company!  

The Software Engineering Manager will lead the technical and product roadmap execution, driving the development of innovative solutions aligned with business objectives. This role will be pivotal in setting the technical direction, ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and scalability. The manager will also play a key role in fostering a collaborative culture, ensuring seamless coordination between technical and non-technical teams to drive continuous innovation and improvement.

Note: While people's leadership is essential, this is not a passive or purely supervisory role, it requires hands-on technical expertise to guide the team through complex technical challenges and ensure successful execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Roadmap Execution

• Lead the engineering team in executing the platform’s roadmap, ensuring all features and enhancements are delivered on time and meet performance and quality standards.
• Oversee the design, architecture, and deployment of new features and services within the AWS ecosystem, aligning them with business objectives.
• Lead the platform's performance optimization & tech debt elimination initiatives to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability at scale.

Technical Leadership

• Provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and architecture of services within the AWS ecosystem, including the integration of AWS AI services and agentic applications.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide technical direction, ensuring that software design and development are in line with industry best practices and architectural standards.
• Apply data-driven analysis to measure platform performance, identify key optimization areas, and provide solutions to improve system efficiency and responsiveness.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution

• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks across development projects, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts for high-impact technical issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal disruption to the platform’s availability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Product Management to define the scope, requirements, and priorities for platform features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Work with the QA team to ensure comprehensive test plans and quality assurance processes are in place, helping to catch defects early in the development cycle.
• Work with the security team to perform regular vulnerability assessments and ensure that all security requirements are integrated into the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Customer Support team to ensure that platform issues, user feedback, and common customer challenges are addressed in future releases.

People & Process Leadership

• Manage and mentor onshore and offshore development teams, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the team's success in meeting technical and project goals.
• Oversee and improve Agile development processes, ensuring smooth sprint cycles, effective planning, and transparent tracking of progress

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on designing and architecting high performance, scalable and cost-effective solutions in AWS/Azure cloud.
• 5+ years of full stack engineering experience developing software products utilizing Microsoft.Net tech stack, SQL server DB, Angular and ReactJs front end.
• 2+ years’ experience with AI/ML services using AWS Sage maker, Gen AI/Agentic applications using AWS Bedrock
• 3+ years' experience managing and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams, including onshore and offshore resources, to achieve technical and project goals.
• 2+ years of healthcare SaaS experience desired.
• Extensive background in Agile methodologies, with the ability to define and measure engineering efficiency metrics, optimize sprint cycles, improve development processes, and ensure timely feature delivery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Master’s degree in computer science or any related engineering field. 
• Experience with ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, AWS cloud certifications are a plus.
