A reputable legal firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its team in Encino, CA. This is a full-time, on-site role with the potential for a hybrid schedule after an initial training period. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience and a Paralegal certificate. This role will support attorneys with billable tasks such as drafting legal documents, preparing exhibits, and managing pre-trial conference statements. They are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and personable professional who can work independently while collaborating with the legal team.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 / year DOE
Paralegal Responsibilities
Provide direct support to 1-2 attorneys, with the potential to expand responsibilities
Draft and format legal documents, including pre-trial conference statements and correspondence
Prepare exhibits and assist with case preparation
Review and take action on mail items, drafting responses as needed
Identify and suggest additional billable tasks to enhance case efficiency
Paralegal Requirements
3+ years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience
Paralegal certificate required
Proficiency in MS Outlook and Merris case management software
Strong legal drafting and formatting skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
