Job description

This is a remote position.


Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Mountain Standard Time)
Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Client Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee critical financial operations across two interconnected businesses. In this strategic role, you will manage accounts payable, handle intercompany transactions, and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks. You’ll work closely with leadership and other key stakeholders while optimizing financial processes and systems.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of both operations through a mix of independent work and collaborative efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and streamline accounts payable processes for both companies

  • Accurately process, verify, and record vendor invoices in QuickBooks

  • Coordinate intercompany transactions between mechanical and transport divisions

  • Implement and maintain tracking systems for vendor payments

  • Collaborate with the service writer to ensure proper documentation

  • Reconcile financial records to avoid payment delays

  • Develop and document improved financial workflows

  • Generate regular accounts payable and vendor reports

  • Maintain accurate digital financial records

  • Identify and resolve payment discrepancies proactively


Administrative Coordination:
  • Maintain updated vendor and customer contact lists

  • Assist in organizing quarterly meetings and budget reviews

  • Keep digital folders structured and ensure financial reports are saved in the shared drive


Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience with North American clients

  • Advanced QuickBooks proficiency

  • Experience managing multi-company accounting operations

  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable practices

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication

  • Proven ability to improve processes and document systems

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience handling sensitive financial data confidentially

  • Comfortable working independently with clear communication

  • Experience managing vendor relationships
