About the Role

 

The Customer System Lead Engineer will be the main technical window between customer and Harman engineering teams.

 

 

What You Will Do

  • Introduce Harman's new and innovative technologies, attracting customer interest and thereby contributing to the generation of new business opportunities and increased revenue with a strong business mindset.
  • Lead customer-driven or internal pre-development or PoC.
  • Actively participate in the RFQ process, clearly communicate customer requirements to the internal team, verify that the system concept meets customer requirements, and lead the final technical proposal to the customer and follow-up discussions.
  • Based on a deep understanding of customer requirement specifications and actual product implementation, lead to identify the best technical solutions, propose, and negotiate with the customer regarding critical requirement changes.
  • Actively participate in regular Value Management discussions, propose ideas, and lead all technical discussions, including feasibility checks, generating customer reports, and communicating with the customer to obtain approval for the changes.

 

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • At least 12 years of engineering experience
  • Familiar with automotive electronics or embedded system design
  • Willing to work with global team, good communicator to customer and internal teams
  • Design engineering experience in Hardware or Software
  • Ability to create structured problem-solving documents

 

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Master’s degree in an engineering field.
  • Experiences as a customer-facing engineer, application engineer, or design engineer for automotive electronics products.
  • Experience in audio Amplifier/Speaker design.
  • Participation in or having led product launches.
