Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 3+ years experience. Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero and MYOB and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; attention to detail and ethical conduct. A willingness to learn and use different trust account software, such as PropertyMe, PropertyTree, etc. Attention to detail and ability to work independently

Core responsibilities:

Bank Reconciliation Review: Verify the accuracy of bank reconciliations for trust accounts. Review bank statements to accounting records and identify discrepancies. Ensure that reconciliations are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with applicable guidelines. Payment and Receipt Analysis: Audit trust account payments to confirm they are properly authorized and recorded. Review receipts to ensure they are accurately documented and deposited into the correct accounts. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of audit procedures and findings. Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, discrepancies, and recommendations. Present audit results to the reviewer and director as needed. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with accountant and real estate agent, and other stakeholders to gather information and clarify issues. Timely Completion: Complete each trust account audit within the expected timeframe.
