A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

As a Multimedia Designer (Independent Contractor) on our Learning and Development team, you will be at the forefront of creating engaging and effective digital learning experiences. You will collaborate closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to bring their content to life through visually stunning and interactive multimedia.

Your role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, from designing eye-catching graphics and animations to developing interactive eLearning modules. You will also be responsible for producing high-quality videos, audio, and 3D content. To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, you should have knowledge of industry standards like WCAG 2.0 and Section 508.

A successful candidate will be enthusiastic about learning and technology, with a keen eye for detail and a creative flair, a strong background in graphic design, multimedia development, and eLearning tools. The candidate will need to be a skilled communicator, able to collaborate effectively with team members from a global perspective.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop interactive eLearning modules using rapid development tools, incorporating quizzes, simulations, games, and animations.
  • Create infographics, layouts, presentations, and other visual assets that simplify complex concepts and align with the overall learning objectives.
  • Produce and edit video, audio, and 3D content for use in training modules and immersive learning experiences.
  • Design and implement advanced interactions and gamified experiences, leveraging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where needed.
  • Partner with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to align media content with instructional goals and client needs.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content while balancing priorities and deadlines.
  • Apply and maintain brand guidelines across all digital and print media to ensure a cohesive learner experience.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in eLearning design, media technology, and accessibility to enhance content quality and learner engagement.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Instructional Technology, related field or proven success in related experience required.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Expertise in eLearning tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and animation software (Blender, Maya) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom interactions and web-based learning experiences.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0, Section 508) and their application in digital content.
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and collaborate effectively.
