Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, and project requirements
Perform comprehensive site analyses and assessments, including field measurements and elevations
Create conceptual design plans and detailed 3D models for client presentations
Develop detailed construction documents for the estimating team
Prepare planting plans, irrigation layouts, lighting concepts, and hardscape details
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and estimators throughout the design-build process
Ensure designs comply with local zoning laws, regulations, and environmental standards
Participate in weekly team design discussions and critiques
Revise plans based on client feedback, budget constraints, or field conditions
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high design standards
Stay current on design trends, sustainable landscaping practices, and new materials
Design elements including pools, pergolas, slope work, elevation changes, and related site features
Landscape Designer Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional experience with AutoCAD in a landscape design setting
Strong 3D modeling capabilities and experience
Excellent digital and hand graphic skills for sketching and visualization
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in all project phases: conceptual design, construction documentation, and contract administration
Knowledge of construction principles for pools, pergolas, slope work, and site features
Creative mindset with understanding of both concept design and practical application
Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or similar field is preferred
Knowledge of Southern California plant palette is preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Experience with high-end residential projects preferred
