A top-tier litigation defense firm with a powerful trial reputation is seeking a talented mid-level Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience to join their high-performing team in Pasadena. The Associate Attorney will work on a variety of complex matters including insurance defense, general civil litigation, business disputes, and high-profile cases, with real opportunity to develop under some of the most respected trial attorneys in the field.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 / year DOE

Associate Attorney Responsibilities

Handle a caseload involving insurance defense, civil litigation, business litigation, and employment law matters
Serve as first or second chair in trials, or assist senior attorneys in preparing for trial and settlement negotiations
Conduct legal research, draft motions and pleadings, take and defend depositions, and prepare trial documents
Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation support staff to drive case strategy and client communication
Effectively manage timelines and meet billable hour goals
Utilize advanced legal technologies and AI tools to increase efficiency and accuracy in case work

Associate Attorney Requirements

3–5 years of litigation defense experience required
Strong desire and aptitude for trial work
First or second-chair trial experience, or robust settlement experience
JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar
Demonstrated ability to work independently while being receptive to feedback and mentorship
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance legal team
Insurance defense background preferred
