Job description

Location:  This position may be performed remotely with the required ability to travel up to 60–80%, as needed.

The Opportunity

Praxis is seeking a field based Clinical & Medical Science Liaison who is a scientific and clinical expert that will be responsible for supporting clinical trial execution through collaboration with investigative sites, clinical research staff, and internal cross-functional teams. The CMSL ensures clinical trial sites are well-informed about Praxis’ therapeutic areas of interest, engaged, and supported to optimize patient enrollment and protocol adherence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary scientific and operational point of contact for Praxis clinical trial sites, in coordination with Clinical Operations and CRO partners.
  • Delivers protocol and investigative product training to site personnel to ensure high-quality study conduct, ensuring a thorough understanding of the investigational product, and study specific protocols, goals and expectations.
  • Identifies and helps resolve site-level issues related to patient recruitment and retention.
  • Represents the company in medical scientific congresses and conferences.
  • Creates and supports investigator engagement plans, contributing to the development and execution of strategic outreach to key sites and site staff.
  • Identifies new clinical trial sites, referring satellite sites and work with established sites to accelerate enrollment of subjects.
  • Stays current on therapeutic areas of interest for the company and competing development programs.
  • Supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and Company Policies and Standard Operation procedures (SOPs)


Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Experience supporting Neurology phase 2/3 clinical development programs and/or commercialized products is required.
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, or RN with relevant experience) preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical research or clinical trial field experience (e.g., CTL, CRA, MSL, clinical educator, or study coordinator).
  • Demonstrates a high level of intellectual curiosity, innovation and creative problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit; can thrive in an agile environment.
  •  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop important relationships that include trust and encourage diversity in all its forms.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion to deliver quality results.

To round out our world-class total rewards package, we provide annualized base salary compensation in the range listed below.  Final salary range may be modified commensurate with job level, education, and experience.

$155,000$175,000 USD
