Position Summary:
The VP of Pharma Services will set the strategic direction, drive commercial performance, and scientific integration of diagnostic services into clinical trials, drug development, and precision medicine initiatives. The VP of Pharma Services is responsible for leading a team to expand partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO organizations. This individual will oversee cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with R&D, operations, regulatory, marketing and data solutions. As a member of the Enterprise Sales leadership team, VP Commercial Pharma Services will provide strategic direction, champion process improvements, and drive business growth in pharma business while collaborating and ensuring alignment with the commercial strategy and organization. Additionally, the VP Commercial Pharma Services will provide strategic oversight of key areas such as lead generation, sales pipeline management, and the optimization of processes and tools that drive business performance and support the seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Pharma Sales teams and supporting functions, overseeing business expansion and high-level collaboration initiatives with major pharmaceutical companies and other customers and positioning NeoGenomics as a leader in the industry.
- Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders, including executives, scientific leaders, procurement heads, and other decision-makers to drive long-term partnership opportunities.
- Develop and lead the team execution of advanced strategic plans to acquire, retain, and grow high-value clients, ensuring alignment with broader corporate objectives and market opportunities and setting overall commercial strategy and execution for the Pharma Services division in alignment with enterprise-wide commercial goals.
- Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams (Project Management, Operations, Medical, Scientific) to define priorities, align resources, and close on opportunities
- Provide strategic leadership and alignment across the entire Pharma commercial organization, working closely with sales, Scientific Affairs, Inside Sales, Project Management, client success and Operations to ensure collective success in meeting company goals.
- Accountability for compliance with contracts and pricing governance.
- Champions a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement across the commercial pharma team.
- Oversee the pharma sales performance within NeoGenomics, ensuring that sales targets are consistently met, and implementing corrective actions when necessary to optimize results.
- Lead the development, execution and management of a comprehensive business plan for the department, incorporating budgeting, resource allocation, territory management, and performance metrics including full P&L ownership
- Provide strategic feedback to R&D, marketing, product development teams, and corporate business development ensuring that client needs, market trends, and emerging priorities are integrated into future product offerings and service innovations.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitive dynamics providing timely insights and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team
- Drive financial goals, including revenue and profitability, in collaboration with the executive leadership team, ensuring the alignment of business strategies with financial targets.

Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sciences and Master’s Degree Preferred
- 15 years of industry experience required
- including 7 years of successful management in second line sales or senior leadership role
- Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical partnering industry and the evolving competitive landscape
- Maintains outstanding level of market, customer, distribution and product knowledge necessary to accomplish sales and marketing objectives
- Excellent knowledge of pathology, oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics and targeted agents
- Proven success in business development, client management, and strategic partnerships in a B2B or B2B2C environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA) for companion diagnostics and clinical lab operations.
- Proven ability to work well with and influence peers, sales teams and management
- Existing relationships with key decision makers and influencers
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Exemplary leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Outstanding strategic sales account management planning skills

- Previous roles in global pharma services, diagnostics CROs, or CDx co-development preferred
