 Are you ready to make a strategic impact on Premera's sales compensation function? Do you have the fortitude and influence management skills to help Premera evolve its sales compensation model from an administrative focus to a strategic one?

As a Senior Sales Compensation Consultant, you will design, administer, and implement compensation and performance review programs that attract, retain, and motivate our employees. You will collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing Division, partnering with Senior Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team members to deliver competitive compensation plans and programs. Your expertise will play an important role in our company's growth and transformation.

What you will do:

  • Demonstrate the rare ability to influence and build alignment with others that may have divergent approaches. Recognize concerns and identify ways to bring improvements and resolution.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve compensation programs and processes to attract, motivate, and retain highly productive associates
  • Identify key compensation trends, issues, and opportunities, and recommend strategic action plans to support Premera's Pay for Performance Philosophy.
  • Provide guidance and develop creative solutions on total compensation issues, including setting appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay, and other rewards.
  • Partner with management and HR expert teams on the design, policy development, guidelines, and implementation of key compensation programs.
  • Ensure effective management and maintenance of current plans, systems, and tools, including participating in salary surveys, evaluating jobs, determining pay grade assignments, and analyzing pay practices.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, human resources management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight years of experience in a progressive business environment, including five years in compensation analysis.
  • Three years of experience working with compensation plans for sales roles.

Additional preferred skills/ experiences include:

  • Experience designing sales incentives for a healthcare payer.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Salary Range:

$95,600.00 - $162,500.00

National Plus Salary Range:

$109,000.00 - $185,300.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
