Role Summary
We’re looking for a strategic, agile, and highly collaborative communicator to lead Americas sales communications during a period of rapid transformation. In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing a communications strategy that keeps our Americas sales Splunkers informed and inspired. If you thrive in dynamic environments, excel at change management communications, and know how to build trust through transparency, clarity, and connection - this role is for you.

 

  • Conceive, execute, and continuously evolve an employee communications strategy to keep Splunk's Americas sales organization informed, aligned, and motivated - particularly through the complexity of the Cisco acquisition, shifting priorities, and multiple organizational transitions.
  • Partner closely with Splunk Sales leadership to deliver clear, scalable communications that drive productivity.
  • Lead the overall communications strategy for Splunk’s Americas sales organization, with a strong focus on change enablement and cultural continuity through evolving business structures.
  • Build and execute the strategic agenda for functional All Hands, Town Halls, AMAs, and roundtables, using these forums to address reorganization updates, integration milestones, and employee sentiment.
  • Develop and operationalize communications strategies for sales and field integration efforts, working cross-functionally with APAC and EMEA counterparts to ensure messaging consistency, transparency, and readiness at all levels.
  • Design and deliver change communications to support sales function reorganizations, GTM realignments, and leadership transitions.
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to urgent business needs with agility, while upholding a consistent communications rhythm and structure across functions.
  • Collaborate with Global Sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in HR to drive unified messaging and shared understanding during the largest change cycle in Splunk’s history.

 

Qualifications:
  • Sharp critical thinking, outstanding writing and editing, impeccable planning and polished relationship-building skills to influence Field/Sales employees’ knowledge, sentiments and behaviors.
  • 10+ years of experience managing communication programs and teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading communications for a function at a mid to large company.
  • Ability to interact effectively and influence all levels of leadership, including senior leaders and Splunk’s executive team.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented in managing and scaling global communications messaging, events, programs and processes.
  • Experience in high-growth environments and understanding of how to scale great company cultures and manage organizational change efforts.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills serves as a role model for internal stakeholders and staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields. Graduate degree and technology experience welcome.
